Shree Sankalp Pratishthan, a charitable trust founded by Sangeeta and Sachin Ahir, has started a free pick-up and drop service for women returning from work in Mumbai.The service was inaugurated last week, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, by Neelam Ghore, the deputy chairperson of the Legislative Assembly, Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar, and Sangeeta Ahir. They were accompanied by Marianela Mirpuri, founder of the Mirpuri Foundation and Hera.The new pick-up and drop service, launched by Sangeeta Ahir, will make commuting easier for women working late in the night. Ahir is the sole brand ambassador of Hera in India, and will work on women’s empowerment globally.At present, the bus service will run from Mahalakshmi station to Worli Naka.After the service’s inauguration, Ahir, accompanied by a delegation from Portugal that included Mirpuri, visited the Mayor’s office.
