~ Launches in collaboration with Government of Rajasthan to provide proper sanitation facilities on World Toilet Day~
Dholpur, November 19,2019: Dholpur- the village that celebrated wedding procession after 22 years will now have its own toilets. With an aim to provide access to proper sanitation facilities, CSR wing of Roca- We Are Water Foundation India (WAWFI), collaborated with Government of Rajasthan to provide Individual household latrines to over 400 households and four schools with toilets to benefit residents and especially girl students. We Are Water Foundation India in association with Habitat for Humanity India is covering four villages in Dholpur district in Rajasthan.
Aligned with this year’s theme, ‘Leaving no one behind’, the foundation has been continuously working towards educating and sensitizing individuals on hygienic sanitation practices across India ensuring no one is left behind without sanitation. The project will help to improve infrastructure and attract students from marginalized sections to attend school. Additionally, the program will also help to transform mindset of communities and facilitate them with widespread knowledge on best hygienic practices in community, with kids acting as chain agents.
