Chennai: After Tamilnadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Saturday launched the Covid-19 vaccination programme for differently-abled people in the city, the drive to provide jabs to persons with disabilities has gained momentum. Officials said special camps are being conducted across the State.
An official release said the Greater Chennai Corporation has made arrangements for the benefit of persons with disabilities to get the vaccine jab.
“In case those who cannot leave their home, arrangements have been made to vaccinate them at their place. They can register their names online after which health officials and nurses will visit their place to study the situation and vaccinat them,” it said.
