Rebellyous Foods Plant Based Chicken Now Available Nationwide Through Dot Foods

Rebellyous Foods, a Seattle-based plant-based meat company, has entered into a distribution partnership with Dot Foods, North America’s largest food industry redistributor.

The collaboration is set to expand the availability of Rebellyous’ plant-based chicken products, including nuggets, tenders, and patties, across a broad network of foodservice establishments in the United States.

“Our products will now be more accessible than ever”

Dot Foods operates a unique redistribution model, enabling suppliers to ship in smaller quantities while maintaining frequent deliveries. With over 5,020 distributors in its network and a turnaround time of 2-4 days on orders, Dot Foods offers flexibility to foodservice operators of all sizes. This model will allow Rebellyous Foods to reach customers ranging from independent restaurants to schools and large event venues.

Kristie Middleton, chief relationship officer at Rebellyous Foods, commented on the partnership: “Dot Foods’ expansive distribution network will enable us to meet the growing demand for high-quality, affordable plant-based proteins in the dining sector. Our products will now be more accessible than ever, whether at a regional lunch spot, university dining hall, or family-owned restaurant.”

Growth and innovation

Rebellyous Foods has been positioning itself as a key player in the plant-based protein sector, focusing on affordability and sustainability. Earlier this year, the company was recognized by TIME as one of the top greentech companies of the year, and founder Christie Lagally was included in Inc. Magazine’s list of Top Female Founders.

The company has also made significant developments in production technology. In September, it launched its Mock 2© Production System as part of a partnership with RMS Foods, a proprietary system designed to lower production costs while enhancing product quality. This innovation aligns with the company’s goal of competing directly with conventional chicken on price and accessibility.

Additionally, Rebellyous introduced its Spicy Kickin Patty earlier this year in response to demand from students for more flavorful options. Schools remain a key market for the company, alongside restaurants, healthcare facilities, and other institutional foodservice operators.

Leveraging Dot’s extensive network

The partnership with Dot Foods places Rebellyous alongside other plant-based brands that have leveraged Dot’s distribution network, including Miyoko’s Creamery and Before the Butcher. Dot Foods currently distributes over 125,000 products from 1,020 manufacturers, operating 13 distribution centers across the United States, along with facilities in Canada.

Billy Bell, senior business development manager at Dot Foods, added, “Dot is thrilled to partner with Rebellyous Foods as their supply chain partner, helping them grow their foodservice business. They are a great addition to our plant-based offerings.”
