“Biryani By Kilo has done that. I was so intrigued by the concept that I made sure to come here. It’s a very broad vision and initiative.”
Mimi, who had almost single-handedly led her last film Mini as the protagonist, also spoke about the evolving situation for women in showbiz and politics.
“There was an era when women were not allowed to work. But women have been breaking the stereotypes.
“Now we can see women in every field,” the Lok Sabha MP from Jadavpur constituency said.
Mimi entered into politics in 2019 contesting on a Trinamool Congress ticket from the Jadavpur Lok Sabha constituency.
Speaking about her love for Biryani, the actor, who has already made debut in the Hindi film industry, said, “Biryani is something which we crave to have at any point of time in a day. Once I had Biryani at 11 in the morning!”
