‘Guys, There’s Chickens That Are Dying’ – Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker Promote Vegan Meat

As you’ve might’ve already heard, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are married. In fact, they got married three times. The first was at an unofficial, spontaneous Las Vegas wedding. The second was in a legally binding Santa Barbara courthouse ceremony. And the third was a lavish Italian affair, with a medieval castle reception.

But after the whirlwind of their first Las Vegas nuptials, the loved-up pair spared a little time for vegan chicken.

In West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont, the Barkers teamed up with renowned photographer Ellen Von Unwerth to shoot a campaign for plant-based food brand Daring.

The photos range from raunchy to wholesome and playful, but each features the all-important Plant Chicken. The product is made from simple ingredients, like sunflower oil and soy protein, but has all the taste and texture of the real thing. Because, as Kardashian posted on Instagram, “Guys, there’s chickens that are dying.” (If you don’t get the reference, this should help.)

The partnership ‘felt so right’

Kardashian isn’t vegan. However, the Poosh founder said that she follows a “mostly plant-based diet.”

She added that Barker, who is a passionate vegan, has helped her with her food choices.

She also stated: “I’ve been on a health and wellness journey for the past 13 years. [It] has made me super conscious of what I put into my body and my kids’ bodies.”

Barker hasn’t eaten meat since his early teens and has invested in vegan restaurants in the past. He said it was exciting to see more plant-based brands on the market.

“When I went fully vegan 15 years ago, the options were basically straight vegetables,” he said. He added: “That’s why I invested in Crossroads Kitchen and Monty’s. [It’s] why this partnership with Daring felt so right for Kourt and me.”

Monty’s Good Burger has recently added Daring’s Plant Chicken tenders to all of its locations. You can also find the brand’s products in other restaurants and retailers, including Target.
