CRY Corporate Responsibility Summit (CCRS)

In its 4th year, the CRY Corporate Responsibility Summit (CCRS) promises to strengthen the outcomes of previous summits and deepen the dialogue on sustainability and corporate responsibility in India.

CSR_SLSV The Companies Act 2013 has included CSR as one of the key responsibilities of business and the potential benefits of these corporate social investments are significant. Companies can invest CSR funds and employee skills to tackle the some of the biggest challenges facing India – poverty, lack of access to healthcare and education, hunger, malnutrition, gender equality and environmental sustainability. Over the long term, corporate responsibility is likely to move towards a social investment strategy that creates value for both society and business.

In 2015, the summit moves to Delhi with intensive Masterclasses in Mumbai and Bangalore. The pan-India summit will enable CSR practitioners across India to address the challenges in developing a long term corporate responsibility and business sustainability strategy and understand contact measurement and reporting.

The masterclass sessions will focus on looking at the challenges in interpreting the current CSR guidelines, not just as a short term compliance issue but within a macro long term framework. There will also be an exploration into formulating and implementing strategies and what should be the typical characteristic of CSR partnerships. The session will be interactive with illustrative case stories.
The masterclass programs will be facilitated by professors from the Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore – Prof. Vasanthi Srivinasan, Chairperson; Mr. Manoj Chakravarti, Chief Operations Officer and Prof. P. D. Jose, Associate Professor.
These are half day sessions conducted by professors from IIM- Bangalore with the following agenda:
