
As part of this unique initiative, 4 Rashtriya Rifles is training 75 women drawn from different villages of Bhadarwah from socially backward sections and thereafter providing the means for self employment in traditional pickle -making, to earn their livelihood.
For the women of remote villages in the mountainous sub-district of Bhaderwah in Chenab valley, the initiative will go a long way in making them financially more independent and improve the condition of their households.
“To help socially and economically weaker sections in the remote villages of Bhaderwah, the Army has taken several initiatives including conducting of pickle-making classes for women at WEC Bhaderwah,” Commanding Officer 4RR Col DD Pandey told PTI.
