SBI DONATES RS 4,98,200 FOR TREATMENT OF POOR

State Bank of India (SBI) General Manager Ashwini Kumar Shukla, handed over a Auto Refractometer along with SLIT Lamp and Semi Bio Chemistry Analyzermedical equipment to Guru Nanak Charitable Medical Centre Bhopal.  Bank has donated an amount of Rs 4,98,200 for the purchase of these machines for the treatment of poor and needy patients. A free medical check-up camp has also been organised in this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Ashwini Kumar Shukla, GM, said that Corporate Social Responsibility activities of the Bank touch the lives of millions of poor and needy across the length and breadth of the country. The focus area of Banks CSR activities are aimed at supporting education, supporting health care, assistance to poor and underprivileged, environment protection, livelihood creation and assistance during natural calamities like floods/droughts etc. campaign, said Shukla.

He further said that SBI has provided financial assistance to various NGOs in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh under Corporate Social Responsibility during several year. Shukla said that the medical equipment donated by SBI would be helpful in providing advance medical treatment to the needy patients.

Naval Kishore Sharma, Deputy General Manager, SBI, along with distinguished guests and citizens of Bhopal were also present on the occasion.
