Oil Marketing Companies operating in Jammu and Kashmir have been asked to carryout CSR spending for infrastructure development of Tulip Garden.
A PIB handout on Saturday said that these instructions were passed after GoI Minister of State Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan met the Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti in Srinagar to discuss various issues related to the petroleum sector in the state.
During the meeting it was decided that all PSU Oil Companies have been instructed to invest Rs 1 Cr from their CSR funds for infrastructure development in Tulip garden, Srinagar.
It was given out that efforts are being made by OMCs for land identification for Oil Depots and LPG Bottling Plants at Anantnag, Rajouri and Kargil. The SLC was advised to coordinate with state government to expedite the proposals.
It was also decided that for commissioning of new LPG distributorships and petrol pumps in the state, list of locations identified by JK government K would be collected by SLC for feasibility study on priority.
This will also include distributorships in inaccessible zones would be allotted to State Food and Civil Supplies Department.
The state government will also facilitate the shifting of Oil Depots in Jammu providing suitable land to OMCs on priority for to set these facilities afresh.
The companies have been advised to carry out recruitment from reputed engineering colleges of Jammu and Kashmir.
