Apart from manufacturing successful products like the popular the Hyundai Creta, the Korean manufacturer is doing some noteworthy work outside the manufacturing facilities too.

In order to raise awareness towards the cause of saving the country’s heritage, Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) recently wrapped up the first phase of its CSR initiative ‘Happy Move – Save Our Heritage.’

The outcome of the program, conducted in association with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), can be witnessed at the heritage monuments of Safdarjung Tomb, Qutub Minar, Old Fort and the Firoz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

What made the initiative more exciting was the participation of around 80 global youth volunteers from South Korea along with around 25 Indian students. The volunteers were distributed in as many as four groups to undertake activities for the upkeep and maintenance of these monuments. Through awareness activities, they also educated the visitors on the value of heritage.

The School Contact Program emphasised a similar cause in educational institutions, reaching out to over 2,300 students across various schools in the national capital.

Here is the video on the initiative.

Further encouraged by the results of the activity, HMIL has also decided to carry forward the good work in the second phase of the program that will take place later this year.
