REC Ltd commits Rs 4.29 crore flagship under CSR for Mobile Medical Units in Punjab

Shri Pradeep Fellows, ED (CSR), REC and Shri M.A. Ali, Senior CPM, REC Panchkula represented REC in the flag-off ceremony.

REC Ltd., under its flagship CSR initiative, has committed Rs 4.29 crore for the procurement and deployment of four Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) across 4 districts of Punjab. 

These units, handed over to the Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab, were flagged off by Hon’ble Governor Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria from the Punjab Raj Bhawan in the presence of  Sh. K. Siva Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor, Sh. V.P. Singh, Principal Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor, Sh. S. Dhillon, CEO of IRCS Punjab, and other senior state officials.

Serving as a lifeline for deprived communities, the MMUs will provide essential healthcare to them at their doorstep. With the addition of 4 more MMUs to the fleet, REC Foundation continues to expand its CSR footprint, with various Mobile Medical units already operational across PAN India.
