Apart from the fact that Raveena Tandon woos her fans with her acting prowess, the actress is also known to be standing up for what’s right and always being honest. The actress is also known to be a plilanthropist and worked towards women empowerment for a while now. Raveena has now been chosen to be a delegate at W20, the Women’s empowerment engagement wing at G20, India’s presidency.
Raveena spoke about it in an interview with HT City and said that she’s honoured to be invited at W20 and represent 675 million Indian women in India as a part of this delegation. She further added that women in our country contribute to diverse sectors to run the economy and their efforts should be recognised internationally.
The actress furhter added that the summit is a fantastic opportunity to empower women and give them more rights for their full social and economic participation. The priority areas that are going to be discussed are very much a part of Raveena’s expectations, she said.
Raveena is also the youngest chairperson for CFSI. She has been a part of the advisory panel of Cintaa.
On work front, Raveena has been getting a lot of accolades for her OTT show, ‘Aranyak’ which released last year. She also got a lot of love for ‘KGF Chapter 2’. Raveena will be seen next in another series which is reportedly the Hindi remake of ‘Revenge’. She’s already wrapped up the series but the official announcement and more details on that are yet to be revealed. The actress will collaborating with Sanjay Dutt again in ‘Ghudchadhi’.
