Chess Olympiad for differently-abled players to be held within this year: FIDE President

President of FIDE, Arkady Dvorkovich has said that the Chess Olympiad for the differently-abled players would be held within this year.

Replying to a question to All India Radio News, Mr Dvorkovich said, the venue is yet to be finalised.

The President of the All India Chess Federation Dr.Sanjay Kapoor said, it was a tough challenge to organise the Chess Olympiad within a short period of four months. Talking exclusively to All India Radio News, he said, both the Centre and the State Governments had to complete the tasks within the specified period of time in coordination with each other so that there were no shortfalls.
