In a bid to extend its humane support, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) under its CSR initiative has supported the Cama & Albless Hospital in establishing a High Dependency Unit (HDU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) by providing essential medical equipment & accessories amounting to Rs 1.32 Crore to fight with COVID 19 pandemic during FY 2020-21.
The HDU facility set up by MDL through its CSR funds is one of the most required facility for the Hospital as this facility will help them treat their critical patients in house without having to rush them to nearby hospitals. Cama & Albless Hospital is the only hospital in Maharashtra exclusively for Women and Children with Oncology wing under the State Government’s Grant Medical College.
MDL has also supported CAMA hospital in setting up of 13 KL Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) Tank for COVID 19 wards amounting to Rs 63.13 Lakhs to fulfill the increased demand of Oxygen during the pandemic in FY 2021-22.
VAdm Narayan Prasad, AVSM, NM IN (Retd), Chairman & Managing Director, MDL has handed over the HDU and 13 KL Oxygen Tank to Dr. Tushar Tatyaba Palve, Medical Superintendent, Cama & Albless Hospital, Mumbai on 31 Jan 2022. Dr Tushar Tatyaba Palve appreciated MDL’s effort in setting up of 13 KL Oxygen Tank and the HDU. He further emphasized that the LMO tank will not only cater to the requirement of Cama & Albless Hospital but it can provide oxygen support to nearby hospitals also.
Shares of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 267.70 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 272.40. The total number of shares traded during the day was 10768 in over 432 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 273.95 and intraday low of 266.25. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 2910488.00.
