
These CSR projects will involve more than 300 staff members from 16 of Marco Polo’s hotel departments, taking over 1,000 man-days to complete.
Most notably, the hotel chain has researched, tested, and produced reusable handmade fabric masks for internal use at its business. So far, MPHK has distributed a total of 1,200 fabric masks to its staff and also delivered masks – both surgical and fabric – to adults and children at its longtime partner, the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF).
Hundreds of colouring books have also been designed, produced, and sent to CCF children, with another hundred sets being sent to the Heep Hong Society later this month.

Lastly, taking advantage of the lull in travel and other precautionary consideration, MPHK will be running a series of cross-functional training workshops to provide staff with improved skills to use when normal business resumes after the novel coronavirus crisis situation has passed.
